Comfort, by design
The Morpheus8 Cool handpiece cools the skin’s surface with each pulse, so the RF energy works beneath the skin while you feel less heat on top.
We still apply a topical numbing cream before treatment. As a result, many patients describe the sensation as warmth and pressure.

What is Morpheus8 Cool?
Morpheus8 Cool is InMode’s RF microneedling handpiece, introduced in 2026 for the Morpheus8 MAX platform. Its 24-pin tip delivers radiofrequency energy beneath the skin to stimulate collagen, while the handpiece cools the skin’s surface for a more comfortable treatment.
Is Morpheus8 Cool FDA approved?
The FDA clears, rather than approves, medical devices like Morpheus8 MAX. In this case, the FDA has cleared InMode’s Morpheus8 MAX RF microneedling technology for dermatologic procedures that require soft tissue coagulation, soft tissue contraction, or hemostasis.
What does Morpheus8 Cool treat?
It is commonly used for loose skin on the jawline and neck, fine lines, uneven texture, and the appearance of acne scars and enlarged pores. With the 40-pin Morpheus8 Cool Body handpiece, it is also used for skin laxity on the abdomen, arms, and thighs.
How is Morpheus8 Cool different from regular microneedling?
Traditional microneedling creates tiny channels in the surface of the skin. Morpheus8 Cool adds radiofrequency energy delivered through the needles, which heats deeper layers of tissue. Your provider can help you decide which treatment fits your goals.
Does Morpheus8 Cool hurt?
First, we apply numbing cream. Then, during treatment, the Morpheus8 Cool handpiece cools the skin. Many patients feel warmth and pressure; however, comfort varies from person to person.
How many sessions will I need?
Most treatment plans include three to five sessions spaced three to six weeks apart, and some people need only one or two. You will receive a specific plan at your consultation.
What is recovery like?
Expect redness for about a day and mild swelling that can last one to three weeks. Tiny scabs may appear within a few days and flake off on their own. Most people return to their normal routine quickly, and you can usually wear makeup after 24 to 72 hours, or as your provider advises.
Can Morpheus8 Cool help with stretch marks?
It can improve their appearance. In a 2026 pilot study in Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum, eight women with stretch marks on the abdomen had one session of diluted calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse) followed by three monthly radiofrequency microneedling body treatments. Six months later, their scar scores had improved by about half, and the only side effect was mild redness that faded within two days in two patients. It was a small study without a comparison group, so individual results vary, and your consultation covers what is realistic for your skin. Read the study.
When will I see results?
Skin texture often looks smoother within about three weeks. Firming builds gradually over three to six months as new collagen forms. Individual results vary.
Are these before-and-after photos of your patients?
No. The photos on this page are courtesy of InMode, the device manufacturer. Individual results vary, and your consultation covers what is realistic for you.
How much does Morpheus8 Cool cost in Brookline?

Important safety information
Morpheus8 Cool is a medical procedure. Temporary redness, swelling, and grid-pattern marks are common; less common effects include bruising and changes in pigmentation. It may not be suitable during pregnancy or for people with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, metal implants in the treatment area, or an active skin infection in the area. It may also be unsuitable for people with current or past cancer, a history of keloid scarring, recent isotretinoin (Accutane) use or blood thinners, or recent filler or fat-dissolving injections in the treatment area. Your provider decides suitability at consultation. InMode provided the before-and-after photos, which do not show Aida Medical Aesthetics patients. Individual results vary.
